Shaking Hands
Today I have shaken hands with my Bishop (received a calling, joy), a stake president (not mine, just sat next to him), a member of the Seventy (plus the President of my school), and an Apostle. Phew! I've never felt Mormon in my life!
Elder D. Todd Christofferson came to BYU-Idaho to give the weekly devotional and I got to meet him. Not only did I meet him, ate lunch with him and with President Clark, their wives, some other old guy, and several other students. It was so cool, and the food was so good, probably the best meal I'll have all semester. I had lots of asparagus, salmon, rice, TONS of veggies, a roll with butter that was molded like a flower on my plate, and a really good salad. I'm not sure which was better, the food or the company I was keeping. After lunch the students were invited to sit on the stand during the devotional, so after devotional was over, I got to shake Elder Christofferson's hand again (I shook it before lunch as well).
Well, I'm about to pass out, and it is not even 10:00 pm yet, boy!
